10x Genomics, a leader in spatial and single-cell biology, has announced the launch of the Xenium Prime 5K Pan-Tissue and Pathways panel. This new assay features enhanced chemistry that increases the plex by an order of magnitude, offering excellent per-gene sensitivity, improved specificity, spatial fidelity, integrated multimodal cell segmentation, and industry-leading speed and performance.
Dr. Kevin Wei, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, highlighted the excitement of being able to identify molecular pathways and explore new biological hypotheses from a single slide. The assay enables advanced exploration of pathways, biomarkers, and cell-cell interactions, with high data quality, fast turnaround time, and customization of up to 100 additional genes.
The high-plex Xenium Prime 5K assay allows for a new level of exploration of pathways, biomarkers, ligand-receptor pairings, and cell-cell interactions.
Key Features:
- A high-plex Xenium panel is used for comprehensive profiling of cell types and states and cellular signaling pathways across multiple tissue types and diseases.
- Excellent data quality to unlock disease mechanisms, therapies, and cellular behaviors. The Xenium Prime 5K assay is optimized for performance and is paired with 10x Genomics’ advanced multimodal cell segmentation, allowing for high sensitivity, specificity, and spatial fidelity.
- Fast turnaround time with easy, tissue-agnostic workflows. 10x Genomics’ industry-leading performance allows researchers to analyze up to 472 mm² of tissue in six days or less.
- Easily customizable with up to 100 additional genes to capture the specific research needs of customers.
- Rigorously designed and developed using single-cell RNA sequencing data from dozens of organs and tissues, gene expression profiles from hundreds of cell types, and examining over 750,000 peer-reviewed publications to identify highly cited biomarkers.
The Xenium Prime 5K assay, optimized for human and mouse species, is now available for pre-order and will ship next month.
